The Spinfusor is the most popular weapon used in the Wilderzone. Versatile, it packs a powerful punch.— In-game description

The signature weapon of the Tribes franchise, the Spinfusor is an unlockable primary weapon for the Soldier class. It fires a straight-flying disc projectile that explodes on contact with any surface or after six seconds. It shares the direct hit damage of the Technician's Thumper at 910 damage.

A direct mid-air kill with this weapon will award the "Blue Plate Special" accolade.

[edit] Strategy

The Spinfusor allows the Soldier to disc-snipe from a safe distance, quickly destroying non-upgraded turrets and sensors if the generator is down. Due to the slow-moving projectile, such tactics are not recommended against players, though harassment of the Heavy on Flag and his deployables is possible.

  • The Spinfusor has much higher impulse when used to disc jump than the Thumper DX, though it causes more self-damage. The Egocentric perk is recommended if the Spinfusor is to be used for mobility purposes.
